I’m Gaël Roda, a creative producer and motion director based in France, working with agencies and premium brands on animation and motion design projects where visual precision, production clarity and high standards of execution matter.
My background combines creative direction, hands-on animation practice and production expertise. It allows me to approach each project from both sides: the creative ambition of the film, and the discipline required to produce it properly.
Before moving into animation, I spent 15 years as an art director in major Paris advertising agencies, developing brand communication, ideas and visual narratives. Since 2010, I have been working in animation and motion design, first as an animator and director, then progressively as a creative producer, leading projects from concept to final delivery.
Today, I collaborate with agencies, brands and partners on films that require both creative sensitivity and reliable execution. Depending on the project, I may contribute as a creative producer, motion director, animation director or production partner, always with the same objective: building the right framework for the work, gathering the right people, and ensuring that the final result remains coherent, refined and well crafted.
Over the years, I have developed a strong affinity with projects produced for premium, beauty and luxury environments, where sophistication often depends less on excess than on precision, rhythm, restraint and control. These projects require a particular level of care, both visually and operationally, and this is where I feel most at home.
In 2014, I founded La Pompadour, an animation production house created to develop and produce animated films for communication, advertising and digital platforms. This gives me a flexible way of working: some collaborations are handled directly with me, while others can rely on a broader production structure when the scale or complexity of the project calls for it.
What matters to me is not only the image itself, but the intelligence of the process behind it. A film needs the right intention, the right team, the right level of preparation and the right production setup. Whether the brief is highly crafted, technically demanding or developed within tight constraints, I aim to bring clarity, consistency and a strong sense of finish throughout the project.
